Spiritual Matters Can"t Be Heard At Court - Lawyer

The Court Works With Evidence; How Do We Prove Spiritual Acts

Rashid Sumaila has been accused by mallam Issaka Salia for been responsible for the career threatening injury that hit fellow Black stars defender, Jerry Akaminko in a dress rehearsal friendly against the Netherlands in Amsterdam before the team departed for the FIFA world cup in Brazil, 2014.

According to the spiritualist, the former Kotoko defender, Sumaila visited the shrine to seek spiritual help as the final squad of 23 who will fly the flag of Ghana high was to be released by then head coach, Kwesi Appiah. In his revelation, mallam Salia said an injury meant for Rashid Sumaila will be diverted towards Jerry Akaminko who was favourite to make the squad unlike Rashid.

But the former South African based defender has been quick to rubbish those claims stating the mallam is looking for cheap fame as none of his allegations conforms with his Islamic faith.

Lawyer Ishmael Boakye who doubles as Kumasi Asante Kotoko board secretary has spoken on what some Ghanaians claim is enough evidence to warrant the arrest of both mallam Salia and Rashid Sumaila for perpetrating such evil against a fellow human being.

“Here in Ghana the court does not sit on spiritual cases. With Jerry-Rashid’s allegation currently making the waves in Ghana no one can prosecute the mallam as what he did cannot be proven as it is a spiritual matter. Since no one was present when he (the mallam) was working out Akaminko’s injury he can’t be prosecuted, if the mallam had been caught inflicting the player physically on the said player, then he could be prosecuted,” he told Kumasi based, Bos fm.

“In Kenya or somewhere in Africa there’s a court that sits on spiritual cases and maybe if it had happened there would have been able to prosecute the mallam and the player who visited for the assistance,” he added.

Jerry Akaminko has be silent on the issue since the revelation broke out.

GFA Veep Want Ghanaians Consider What Happened To Akaminko When Players Bonuses Arise

The Ghana Football Association vice president, George Afriyie wants Ghanaians to consider what happened to Jerry Akaminko during the Black Stars friendly against Holland.

The former Heart of Lions defender got injured during an international friendly prior to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, and he has since struggled to stay on his feet play competitive for either club or country.

A fortnight ago, Jerry Akaminko’s contract with Turkish side Eskişehirspor was cancelled.

And George Afriyie is worried because of $ 5000 winning bonus for playing for Ghana, his career has hit rocks.

“Jerry Akaminko played just one match for the Black Stars and he has lost a fortune. He has lost almost two – three of what is going to be his life savings,” the Liberty Professionals chairman told sportscrusader.com

“That’s why sometimes when we are talking about players remunerations and winning bonuses, we need to be a bit careful. One match of $ 5000 appearance fee, his career is over. How is he going to survive?

“Probably he might not have any serious education background.if he is not able to play football again, what will he do?

“These are some of the things we need to take into consideration when we’re making those pronouncements.” George Afriyie who was very passionate answering the question added.

Jerry Akaminko made his international debut in 2012 at the Kumasi Sports Stadium when the Black Stars annihilated Lesotho 7-0 in a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Fetish Attack: Black Stars Players Are Cruel And Wicked - Kwaku Bonsam

Black Stars Players Are Cruel And Wicked – Kwaku Bonsam

Ghana’s most famous fetishism priest, Kwaku Bonsam has labelled of Ghanaian footballers as lovers of juju – black magic.

Former Black Stars head coach, Milovan Rajevac had said after AFCON 2010 that Ghanaian players specifically the Black stars focus more on been spiritually powerful and potent than replicating such desire in the field. The Serbian trainer was bashed for saying so without a prove just like many Ghanaians have thought.

Fast forward 2016, six years down the lane and it looks like what coach Milo said isn’t far from right.

On Wednesday morning, Ghana woke up to the news that Malam Isaka Salia, a spiritualist based in the Western Region of Ghana has laid a wild allegation against former Black Stars defender Rashid Sumaila for the pre-World Cup injury suffered by team mate Jerry Akaminko.

Akaminko sustained a serious career threatening injury in Ghana’s pre-World Cup friendly with the Netherlands which ruled him out of the competition.

Kwaku Bonsam a popularly known face when it comes spirituality has backed his colleague, Mallam Issaka Salia on the allegations that players visit their respective shrines to seek for one thing only and that’s spiritual assistance.

In an interview with Kumasi based, Boss fm 93.7, Kwaku said, “In the Bible when God healed the 10 leprous and just 1 returned he asked where are the nine? What do I mean saying so, even Jesus wanted his work to be appreciated how much more we mere mortals.”

“Some of the players are very cruel and wicked, I might even say 100% of them are bad. A player will visit us (shrine/deity) to seek help as he battles fellow player in this case in the same position and help me deal with him.”

After I’ve done what he requested he won’t come back and fulfil his side of the bargain, he’ll change his phone number and even before that he will regfuse to answer your call, he added.

He further narrated an ordeal he had with one footballer whose request of spiritual protection was fulfilled but refused to deliver his side of the bargain.

He said,  “I recently walked into a player I helped when we pumped into each other he turned away and I shouted at him to learn to acknowledge my efforts.”

” If you’d visited a pastor – a man of God, he would have fasted and prayed for you in the same vein as I chant. They forget what they requested from the gods but then acknowledge all they know is God and that traditional religon is a waste of time, and we  he  added.
