SPORTS CRUSADER LOWER LEAGUES TEAM OF THE WEEK

The Sports Crusader Lower Leagues Team of the Week is an initiative introduced by the fastest growing sports web portal in Ghana to demonstrate how Ghanaian players perform for their various clubs abroad.

To set the records straight, as we have always done, players are selected based on the following criteria:

1. The Coefficient of the league they play

2. The competition they are in (If they are not playing league matches)

3. Consistency.

4. The competition they face from other players playing for the same position.

5. The positions they play

6. The number of minutes played in the game, and

7. The contribution of the player to the success of the game.

A flurry of Ghanaian players powered their respective to crucial points at stake but for consistency and the co efficient of the leagues featured, a number of star players still missed a placein our team of the week.

Moses Odjier extended his free scoring run for Salinitana despite their home reverse with a delicious strike to keep his place in the starting XI whiles Albert Adomah maintains his place without a blink of an eye.

The Boro star wide man dragged his Teesiders to within one of the point of the league summit with his ninth goal of the season

At the back, Nuru Sulley and Daniel Sowatey has been partnered at the central defense whiles Joe Baffuor and Leeroy Owusu handles the lateral full backs.

Eric Ocansey, David Attanga and Jonathan Opoku leads a deadly attacking department that has the Moses Odjeir supplying passes from behind.

Jonathan Opoku continued his monstrous scoring with his ninth goal of the campaign as VV Venlo draws ever closer to promotion to the Dutch Eredivese. The rampant forward came out victorious with VVV in a seven goal thriller in the Erste league to lead our lower league team of the week.

Opoku is joined upfront by Raymond Gyasi and the expelled Moses Odjier, who lost his composure at the 90th minute for Salintana in the Italina Serie A.

The pair of Bright Addae and Divine at the centre of the pitch whilst Ralph Dwamena returned to the starting XI with his rocket of a shot for Liefering in the Austrian second tier league.

Larwrence Atti Ziggi returned to competitive football for the first time in two months but his costly mistakes proved costly for Leifereing as we kept faith with Braimah.
