I am Available - Kwadwo Asamoah

Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah is eyeing a return to the Black Stars after a long spell out of the team.

The versatile midfielder has been plagued by injuries for the past 18 months forcing him to miss games both for Ghana and Juventus.

He has already missed the whole of 2015 with the Black Stars, a year where Ghana lost narrowly to Ivory Coast in the final of the African Nations Cup but with the 2017 edition a few months away, Asamoah is eyeing a return to the national team fold.

“For the Black Stars, I am ready to come back. I have spoken with the coach, the President and most of the people at the Ghana Football Association,” he told Joy FM.

“I am hoping to come back strongly and join the team. Just that for the past one year, I have not been playing consistently so I will be very happy to join the team as soon as possible

“If everything is good, if there is no injury, I will be happy to join the team.”

Kwadwo Asamoah has been tipped to join his former boss Antonio Conte at Chelsea.

Chelsea Make Bid For Asamoah

Chelsea are preparing a bid of up to €25 million in order to get Antonio Conte his man, Kwadwo Asamoah according to the English newspaper the Daily Express

The all-round Juventus winger Kwadwo Asamoah is on the radar of Premier League side Chelsea, with Conte keen on a reunion with the Ghanaian as he takes Charge of the London Club this summer.

The former Udinese wing-back is also equally comfortable playing in the centre of midfield but struggled to break into the Bianconeri first team last season due to a combination of injuries and the form of others.

Due to his persistent knee injury, the Ghanaian made just 13 appearances across all competitions for the Serie A champions this season and his missed a couple of World Cup and African qualifiers for the Black Stars of Ghana.
