Grant’s Comment Were Unfortunate- Sam Johnson

Accra Hearts of Oak legend, Samuel Johnson has called on the Ghana Football Association to call Black Stars coach, Avram Grant to order following the Israeli’s ‘bull s**it’ comment.

Avram Grant, in his post match press briefing following Ghana’s 3-1 win over Mozambique last Thursday asked Ghanaians to concentrate on football and not the ‘bull s**it’.

The former Chelsea and West ham trainer’s comment has come under intense criticism from football pundits with some calling on him to vacate his post as the Ghana coach.

Sam Johnson is the latest to take a swipe at Avram Grant over his comment with the former Black Stars defender describing the comment as ‘unfortunate’.

“Avram Grant’s comments were unfortunate. We’ve called on his employers to bring him to order for such comments, but are they part of his contract?” Sam Johnson told Joy FM in Accra.

“But if there’s anything in his contract he is not doing, the FA have every right to sack him, because what he is doing, going to his country and staying for three months and he is still getting paid, the FA have every right to punish him.

“And if he [Grant] is criticized by Ghanaians and he gets angry to react and say certain things, he should be called to book. The FA should tell Ghanaians something by Wednesday,” the legendary defender added.

Ghana are still top of the AFCON 2017 Qualifying table in Group H with 10 points with two games to go.
