Vice Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Isaac Koomson has promised to introduce welfare scheme to club administrators.
Isaac Wilberforce Koomson is in the race for the top-most position at GHALCA, and he has revealed one of his visions for the association is to repay them their services for football development.
Speaking to sportscrusader.com, the Aduana Stars Accra representative said: “Under my administration, i will introduce welfare scheme for football administrators. Almost everything about their life is football and they invest a lot into football. So after being in the game for 20 or 30 years, putting it so much, what are the benefits?,” Isaac Koomson quizzed.
“That’s why I am coming in with the pension and welfare scheme. I am looking at it in different angles: if you bereaved, we don’t just come and cheer you up and give you individual donations.
“I want us to have a proper package for the person who is bereaved, and I think doing this you’re motivating the club administrators to put in their best so that football will be ran professionally,” he said.
Wilberforce Koomson will wrestle with Cudjoe Fianoo, Kofi Poku and Nana Oduro Sarfo for the GHALCA chairmanship position come April elections.
