Duke Micah’s bout against Georgia’s Girogi Gachechiladze which was slated for Saturday, 26 March at the Rivermead Leisure Center in West Berkshire, United Kingdom was cancelled.
His opponent Gachechiladze failed his mandatory medical testing, prompting organizers to cancel the event.
“This is very worrisome because Micah, 14-0,14KO has prepared himself for this card and now has to wait for another opportunity,” trainer Carl Lokko said. “Now we have no option than to accept it and move on”.
“We will return to the gym. Training continues and we are not going to relax because boxing is a sport where you can’t just sit down,” Lokko added.
This is very disappointing as it represents the second time Micah’s bout has been cancelled in the United Kingdom.
