Ghana Black Stars shot stopper Razak Braimah painfully missed out on the Spanish Premeira division play off final after late collapse in Girona.

The Cordoba FC custodian made the trip for the return leg with a 2-1 aggregate scores in the first leg but missed out on extra time thanks to a very late strike from Christian Herera.

Spanish sensation Xisco followed up his brace for Cordoba in the first leg with a crucial opener for the visitors to make it 3-1 on aggregate moments into the second half.

Razak Braimah and his colleagues could however not prevent Girona Taragona from pulling parity with delicious goals from Aday and Borja Garcia sending the game into extra time.

Girona upped their gear and duly got the game’s fourth goal of the night to book a place for his side in the grand finale at the expense of the much fancied Cordoba FC.

Braimah played a starring role for the Spanish second tier side across the season to book a place in the promotion Play offs zone.

A quick fire brace from Xisco handed Cordoba a bright start to the tie before Christian Herera pulled one back for the visitors.

Razak Braimah and his Cordobah colleagues will likely meet Osasuna in the grand finale if they avoid defeat on Sunday.

The 28 year old registered an involving 37 appearances across the season that could culminate in Liga football if they can sustain their current form.

Black Stars custodian, Razak Braimah secured a promotion play-off spot in the Spanish Secunda Division despite his absence on the final day of the season.

The Ghanaian shot-stopper missed the dramatic last day of matches as he was away on international duty with the Black Stars as they secured qualification to the 2017 AFCON in Gabon.

However, his side Cordoba joined three other clubs in gaining qualification to the play-offs that leads to promotion to the Spanish top-flight.

Alaves and Leganes confirmed their ticket Primera Liga ahead of the 2016/17 season while Cordoba joins the trio of Taragona, Girona and Osasuna for the remaining ticket to the top-flight.

Razak Braimah, a former Real Betis and Almeria goalie, featured in 36 of 42 games for Cordoba this season. Cordoba came back from an early home reverse to snatch a point in a cagey 1-1 draw with Almeria even without their Ghanaian international.

The experienced shot stopper  Razak Braimah was shown the red card very late into the game as Cordoba suffered a 2-3 home defeat to surrender their strong hold of the second automatic qualification slot in the second tier league.

Cordoba welcomed third place Leganes to the Neuvo Acangei with their sight on first place in the league but ended up dropping a step back in a game marred by a flurry of cards.

Raul Thormas opened the scoring for Cordoba from the spot midway into the first half but Alexandeer Szymanowski’s equalizer two minutes into the recess drew party for the visitors.

Unai Martinez then opened the floodgates for an eventual three red cards with a 67th minute sending off. Cordoba capitalised on their numerical advantage and duly went ahead through another spot kick from Raul with 20 minutes to go.

Razak Braimah became the second casualty to be sent off in series of cautions leading to his departure. The black stars shot stopper was given his marching off orders with seven minutes to go forcing Cordoba to concede 2 goals in one minute. Omar Ramos Suarez scored twice within 60 seconds to turn the tie on its head as Leganese leapfrogged their host into the second slot.

Hector Rodas Ramirez joined his goalkeeper in the dugout moments later in a game dented by 13 cards and 5 goals.
