It"s A Challenge But... - Gyan

Al Ahli of Dubai loan signing, Asamoah Gyan has said the idea and fans’ expectation for him to deliver is a challenge he gladly accepts.

Gyan, on transfer day deadline, left Chinese Super League side, Shanghai SIPG on loan to return to the United Arab Emirates and signed for former side, Al Ain’s fierce rivals.

His record of three league titles and goal king crowns was a major factor in Alhi’s decision to meet his huge weekly wage, but Gyan, who was quizzed on whether he can repeat the same feat with his new side, admitted it will be a challenge but won’t be under pressure to deliver.

“It’s a very big challenge for me to repeat the same feat at Al Ahli,” he said.

“The fans will expect me to deliver same or more and that comes along with extra pressure but I’m used to it [pressure] now, with all the experience gained and raring to go.

“All I need is to be fit, play more games and, for pressure, it’s the last thing on my mind.”
