Liberty Professionals attacking sensation Latif Blessing has set his sight on winning the U-20 Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) World Youth Championship with the Black Satellites.

The Dansoman based trickery forward is relishing the prospect of flexing muscles with the world’s elite players at the Youth Championship in the 2017 edition.

The Liberty Professionals dribbling magician revealed his long term ambition of inking his name into the archives of Ghana football with a world championship at the U20 level.

The 18 year old much sort after forward, cooled down imminent national call up but firmly believes an African Youth Championship trophy or the ultimate FIFA U20 WYC will be enough to smoothen his way to the Black Stars.

Blessing expressed his readiness to storm the age defined global tournament when given the platform by the national handlers of the Black Satellites.

“My first target is to win the Africa and World cup with the national Under 20 team and my work alone will tell the head coach of the Black Stars who I am. It will also tell the handlers of the Black Stars what I have in me.” Blessing told sports crusader exclusively.

Liberty Professionals attacking midfielder Latif Blessing has confessed the difficulty in filling the huge void left by his Kennedy Ashia.

The 18 year old trickery midfielder has been tipped to shoulder more responsibilities for his Dansoman based side in the absence of the experienced Ashia who left for Sudan in the off season.

Blessing starred sparingly for Coach George Lamptey’s inconsistent side under the leadership of Ashia in the past 2014/15 FCPPL season.

The bony dribbling wizard admitted to the gulf in class of King Ken but has promised to make up for their prized asset in the upcoming 2016 top flight season.

Blessing accepted the challenge and the confidence reposed in him by his manager when the new domestic calendar unravels on February 20.

“Kennedy Ashia is a very good player and will be missed as a team mate too. He is our senior player and will be missed greatly but that does not mean Liberty cannot survive without him.

I am working hard to fill the void left by Ken since i have been tipped to fill the void by our head coach.

I am working very hard to make sure I don’t disappoint the head coach for reposing confidence in me even when I was very small”, Blessing told sports crusader.

Kenedy Ashia has been the focal player for Liberty in the last few season and finished the 2014/15 FCPPL with a club leading 11 goals.

Latif Anabla set for New Edubiase return after missing out on foreign deals

New Edubiase defensive midfielder Abdul Latif Anabila is set for a return to domestic football after failing to land a foreign deal.

The Ghana Youth international failed to seal a much anticipated deals in Sweden and Tunisia and has been offered another platform on the domestic scene.

The utility midfielder starred prominently for Coach Anthony Commey’s side in a a highly competitive 2014/15 FCPPL.

The Black Meteors midfielder passed on the chance to move to any local rival in search of greener pasture after a swashbuckling performance for the “Yen Ko Nkoa Boys” in the past season.

The much sought-after Latif however failed to land expected contracts in either Sweden or Tunisia and has since returned home ahead of the 2016 domestic football season.

His arrival to the camp of Edubiase will come as good news to the followers of the Bekwai based side after the departure of the Nuhu twin brothers. Edubiase held of Heart of Lions in the final match day of the season to maintain their premier league status in a six goal thriller.

The “Yen Ko Nkoa Boys” already secured the services of Kassim Issah and Anass Abidina from Bekwai Youth and Joe Halms from Accra Great Olympics ahead of the new season.
