Kotoko Receive Sponsorship Money From GOIL

Ghana Oil Company Limited, GOIL,has presented to Asante Kotoko, the first tranche of their promised monthly sponsorship package in Accra.


GOIL on April 29 this year, agreed to sponsor the Porcupine Warriors with  financial support valued at GH¢ 480,000.00


The agreement was for Kotoko to receive GH¢ 40,000.00 monthly, a have fulfilled their promise. The package also includes a monthly supply of fuel from GOIL.


The first monthly tranche was presented to General Manager, Samuel Opoku Nti by GOIL Finance Manager, Mr. E. Ofori Sarkwa and received by Mr. Opoku Nti.


Opoku Nti thanked Ghana Oil for gesture and called on the Kotoko fraternity to patronize GOIL products.







The club as part of its support for GOIL to make the relationship a success, has invited the club’s fans to join management and players of the club as they visit Goil’s new branch at Santaasi Roundabout today.


Kotoko says the players of the club will play roles of filling station attendants and fraternize with fans and customers. There will be time for selfies and other forms of interaction with the players. Management, Technical team and Ashanti Regional Circles will all be present.


Kotoko/Goil “Good Energy For Goals” car stickers will be given out to customers and fans. Goil will also give out souvenirs to all present. Kotoko entreats fans to troop to Santaasi to buy GOIL products.

Hearts Receive Sponsorship Money From Goil

Hearts of Oak has received a first tranche of it’s sponsorship money from Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL).


The Oil Company signed a two-year sponsorship agreement with the Phobians believed to be in the region of GH¢ 480,000.00 and has fulfilled the first part of it’s responsibility — presenting to the club a cheque of GH¢ 40,000.00.







The first tranche was presented to Frank Nelson Nwonkwolo, a board member of Hearts of Oak by GOIL Finance Manager, Mr. E. Ofori Sarkwa, in the presence of GOIL Corporate Affairs Manager, Rosemond Awotwi, and Public Relations Manager, Robert Kyere.


Mr. Frank Nelson showed appreciation to GOIL for the package and assured them of the club’s commitment to ensuring the success of the deal.


He also urged the supporters of Hearts of Oak and the Ghanaian football-loving fans to patronize GOIL products.

GOIL Signs One Year Sponsorship Deal With Hearts and Kotoko

Ghana Oil Company (GOIL), an indigenous state-owned company has signed a one year sponsorship deal with Ghana’s two most successful clubs, Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko.


The agreement which was signed at the headquarters of GOIL in Accra, is worth a total package of Ghc960,000 with each receiving half of the amount which will be paid in monthly installments of Forty thousand Ghana Cedis (Ghc40,000) and will include monthly fuel allocation as well.

The deal has started clearly the cash payment from GOIL is solely to be utilized for player welfare, specifically cash allowance for registered players.


Managing Director of GOIL, Patrick A.K. Akorli who signed the deal on behalf of the company said, “we are excited as an indigenous company to associate with Ghana’s two most successful clubs and with the huge fan base they both enjoy in the country it is just right to partner with them.”

“Both Hearts and Kotoko share the same value and belief as GOIL and we deemed it fit to start with these two traditional clubs and the success story will lead us to consider similar deals with the remaining football clubs,” he added.


In the upcoming Ghana Premier League Super Clash between the two clubs at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, May 2, fans of both teams will see the logo of GOIL emblazoned at the back of their teams  jerseys.
