Kurt Zouma Out Injured For 6-Months

Chelsea Football Club’s medical team have diagnosed that Kurt Zouma sustained an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament during yesterday’s (Sunday) Premier League game against Manchester United.

Kurt underwent a scan on monday, Chelsea released a statement which said Zouma would be out for “approximately six months”. This will  effectively rule him out for the season and the European championship coming up in June in his home country France.

The 21-year-old landed awkwardly after contesting a high ball and was taken off on a stretcher in the game with Manchester United that ended 1-1 on Premier league on Sunday

“Scan today has shown I injured my anterior cruciate ligament. I will have surgery this week and will come back stronger,” Zouma twitted.

The situation at hand has necessitated the need to renew John Terry contract which will expire at the end of the season.

Chelsea young French centre back suffered a serious injury in the right knee during the blues 1-all draw at home to Manchester United.

The 21-year-old was left screaming in agony during the game on Sunday after landing awkwardly on his right leg.

The unfortunate incident for Zouma happened just before the hour mark after he rose high to head the ball in the centre of the pitch.

However, as he went to plant his right leg on the Stamford Bridge turf it buckled beneath him in an unnatural angle – as he landed on his heel as opposed to the ball of his foot.

Zouma told L’Equipe: “It is better. We will see, I heard something but I feel better. Tomorrow, I will undergo tests and we will know more.”

 Zouma has been ruled out for six months and thus will miss the Euro 2016 in his native France in June.
