Chief Executive Officer of Aduana Stars, Mr. Albert Commey has disclosed that his outfit are focused on ending their winless streak in the league despite the resignation of their head coach Nurudeen Ahmed.
Coach Ahmed left the Dormaa based club following Sunday’s 1-0 home defeat against his former club Wa All Stars.
The 2009 Ghana Premier League champions have been widely tipped to win the coveted league trophy this season due to the recruitment they did in the transfer window.
However, Aduana Stars have been abysmal in their first two games and must now quickly get a trainer to fill the void left by Ahmed Nureeden.
Speaking on Asempa FM in Accra, Mr. Albert Commey said, “You and I know people will come with their own theories but as management, you have to be composed and look at what you have to do to fix the situation,”
“We have to make the players understand that losing the first two games is nothing and that they can bounce back and also do wonders.
“Things are not normal and we have to admit it but if you don’t have the courage and temperament to stand this then you don’t have any business been in football.”, he added
Aduana Stars’ next game of the Ghana Premier League will be a short away trip to regional rivals Techiman City on matchday 3.
