The President of New Edubiase Football Club, Abdul Salam Yakubu has indicated that the CEO of the Ghana Premier League side, Mr. Alex Akummey Will Succeed as GHALCA vice Chairman.
Mr. Akummey is the only person to have picked up nomination for the GHALCA Vice chairmanship position and he goes through the vetting unscathed he will contest the position unopposed.
And Speaking in an interview with Accra based Asempa FM, Abdul Salam Yakubu who has worked with Mr Akumey since the establishment of New Edubiase says the Beckwai based club’s CEO will be a good man for the job.
“I was happy to hear that Alex Akummey had picked up the nomination forms for the GHALCA vice chairmanship position. It is a small position to occupy because it was the position that the current GFA President occupied some time back”, Abdul Salam Yakubu said.
“I started Edubiase with him and I have no single doubt that he can excel if given the nod. I am one of the people who encouraged him to go for the position and he will have my full support regardless of who he contest against”, he added.
The New Edubiase President further noted that, the likes of Alex Akummey are those needed by GHALCA to make the Association relevant once again
