Alhaji Raji Lauded For Pulling Out of GHALCA Race

The President of New Edubiase Football Club, Mr. Abdul Salam Yakubu has praised the decision taken by Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) Alhaji Ali Raji to pull out of the contest in the Association’s April election.

Alhaji Raji, on Monday decided not to pick up the nomination form despite earlier indicating his intentions to seek for re elections.

And speaking in an interview, Abdul Salam Yakubu says Alhaji Raji’s decision was the right one.

“I am one of the people who convinced Alhaji Raji to pull out of the GHALCA Race. I am glad he listened to me and withdrew”, the New Edubiase club President said.

“I think the decision he took was great for him and everyone. He has showed maturity and showed that he is not a greedy person”, Abdul Salam Yakubu added.

Nana Oduro Sarfo, Mr. Isaac Koomson and Mr. Cudjo Fianoo, all of whom are high ranking members of the Association, have picked up nominations for the GHALCA top job.

And According to Abdul Salam Yakubu that was the reason why he convinced Alhaji Raji to opt out.

“If you are in an Association and nominations are open and the very people you work with pick up forms to challenge you, then I don’t know what you will tell an outsider who want to throw a challenge to contest you” Salam Yakubu said.
