Ghana International Gideon Baah made his season debut New York Red Bulls as his side suffered a 2-0 defeat at home to Toronto FC on Sunday in the Major league soccer (MLS) opener.
The 23-year-old was delighted about his move to the MLS despite some criticism by some local fans who thought the move would not further build his career as an upcoming young talent.
The former Kotoko defender made some excellent interceptions and clearances and decent tackles throughout the game, his performance saw him earn lots of applauds from the home fans.
Baah in a post match interview said“I think it’s a good start, especially for me. I loved everything about my debut today. It’s just unfortunate that we lost. Congratulations to Toronto FC. I think they did a good job and it’s just unfortunate that we lost”, Baah added.
The defender joined New York Red Bulls from Finnish side HJK Helsinki.
