Bechem United Coach Envious Of Hearts Players

Bechem United coach Kwame Opuni has admitted players of Accra Hearts of Oak players were in better shape in terms of fitness and that contributed to the heavy defeat they suffered last Sunday in match week four.

The Bechem based club were seeking to become the first side to inflict defeat on the Phobians in the three week old premier league competition but failed.

Hearts started the game very well and took full advantage of the goal scoring chances that fell their way but the scoreline would have been different had it not been an impressive goal keeping from Bechem United keeper, Ernest Adu.

But Coach Opuni in his post match interview attributed a portion of the defeat to the fitness level of the players of Hearts.

He said, “I psyched my boys well to come and surprise Hearts of Oak, but their fitness was way above ours and that is exactly what they used to beat us in addition to petty mistakes that my boys made.”
