Former Ghana Black Stars international, Joe Addo has called for a fair selection process to the senior national team, the Black stars.
Players that ply their trade in the Ghana premier league have been deemed unfit and not suitable to make the senior team due to the league been branded as not competitive nature of the domestic game.
But Joe Addo who had stint with Accra Hearts of Oak in the league some years ago before leaving for Europe has rubbish claims the local league lacks quality players and are inferior to the foreign based lads.
“I know Baba Mahama witn Techiman city and another prospect with Sekondi Hasaacas in addition to the Hearts duo will excite some of the fans that admire them to the stadium and this makes me believe if the competition if opened fairly – fairly means if the competition is opened for some of the local players compete with the foreign based players i think some of the local lads can fit into the team,” Addo told Kumasi based Boss FM.
