Grant"s Presence Will Motivate Players

The Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Oti Akenteng has acknowledged the presence of Black Stars coach, Avram Grant at league centres will be a motivating factor for the players during league games.

Grant had returned to the country on the orders of his employers (GFA) for the first time since he returned with the senior national team from the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The former Chelsea boss attended the Inter Allies two all draw game against Dreams FC at the Tema astro turf stadium along with Oti on Sunday and this the technical director believes it is good for the growth of the game and will be an incentive tool for the players whose dream is to represent the Black stars.

He said, “it will be a way forward for him to be monitoring and evaluating players who can fit into the senior national team (the Black Stars).”

“After a successful meeting upon his arrival he has deemed it fit to attend a premier league game; this should motivate our players in the league and with this and many more expected of him surely Ghana football will be the winner”.

The Israeli coach will later this month release a 23-man squad for upcoming AFCON qualifier against Mozambique on March 24.
