Hearts "Never Say Die" Good For Team - Herbert

Inter Allies head coach, Herbert Addo says Accra Hearts of Oak motto, ‘Never Say Die Until the Bones Are Rotten’ is good for the club.

A spirited comeback in their 2-3 win over Inter Allies on Match Week Five of the Ghana Premier league at the Tema sports stadium was eulogised by the veteran coach.

He believes the attitude of not accepting defeat, is what will make the team achieve their targets.

“Hearts have improved…judging them from the first half when they were not even touching the ball, and the way they came back strongly into the game, I think the ‘Never Say Die’ attitude won them the game and I commend them for that. That’s very good for a team and we (Inter Allies) need that too,” Herbert Addo said in post-match press conference.

In the dying embers of the game, Hearts of Oak controlled every aspect of play, and their dominance paid dividends. Herbert Addo reckon experience on the part of their players was key to their success in the game.

He was happy with his team’s output, but bemoaned lack of experience on the part of his players.

“We have a very good team, but if you have team with very good players, you need experienced players too to complement your squad to control the game, but we lack that against a team with experienced players.

“We all came for three points, we controlled the game for longer periods, scored and they used their experience to get the winning goal in a very nice match.” He noted.
