I Nullified Inter Allies Strikers - Samuel Sarfo

Liberty Professionals skipper, Samuel Sarfo has heaped praises on himself after leading his side to a 2-1 win over Inter Allies at the Carl Reindolf Park.

Samuel Sarfo, a corporal in the police service of Ghana, led Liberty’s backline comprising of Richard Antwi, Michael Ampadu and Maxwell Mensah against Inter Allies.

And he reckon he had the best outing because he was determined to man the defense, though he admits the game was difficult.

“The game was a very difficult but we managed to win. We started the game on the front foot and scored two goals but in the later part of the match they took control and made things difficult for us,” Samuel Sarfo said.

Inter Allies started the game slowly and conceded two early goals, and coach George Lamptey anticipated there were going to react strongly. SamuelSarfo revealed what they were told do during recess.

“We were told to stay resolute and contain the pressure they will mount on us and we did that well to win to the match,” he said.

On a personal note: “I was determined to man the backline and I did that very well; i nullified the effect of the Inter Allies attacks, none of their strikers was able to beat me with the ball. They got a goal because it was on my blind side after the right back (Michael Ampadu) failed to stop the ball through.” He noted.
