Inter Allies’ Gockel Ahortor Hoping to Score Against Hearts Once More

Inter Allies midfielder, Gockel Ahortor has expressed the desire to score against Hearts of Oak for the third consecutive time as the Tema based club prepare to test the resolve of the Phobians on Sunday.

Hearts of Oak have been very impressive since the 2014/15 league accumulating three wins and a draw from four games and are currently top of the league table.

Ahortor has cultivated a habit of scoring against the Accra based side at the Tema Sports Stadium after facing them twice since Inter Allies joined the top-flight two seasons ago.

In the 2013/14 season, Ahortor scored for the ‘Eleven Is To One’ but it was not enough as they lost 3-2 to Hearts of Oak and last season he scored the winner in added time to win 2-1 for the ‘Eleven Is To One.’

The midfielder is keen to find the net one more time as both sides clash on Sunday at the same venue.

“Last season I was much excited as well as the whole team after that goal and win because I scored very late in the game and sealed the win,” he told inter Allies’ official website.

“This season, I want to score against them once more. I know if I keep playing well in midfield then I’ll hopefully create more chances for the team and for myself too.”

After four games this season, Ahortor has started and completed three of them and has been very impressive for the Inter Allies.
