Jordan"s Villa Suffers A Major Set Back In EPL

Aston Villa’s hope of avoiding relegation at the end of the season suffered a huge set back after a second half capitulation at the Etihaad Stadium.

The 2015/16 Premiership basement side resiliently panned out a pulsating 0-0 stalemate away to Manuel Pelegrini’s charges before a second half no show all but ended their survival hopes.

Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew again shone for the struggling London side in a heavy 4-0 defeat at the Ettihaad stadium.

Aston Villa headed to Manchester on the back of a 0-5 massacre at home to Liverpool but withstood pressure from their illustrious home side in a thrilling 45 minutes to the surprise of many.

Manuel Pelegrini’s men however turned an extra gear and registered four quick goals in a space of 18 minutes to nail their visitors on the button of the log with 10 matches to end the season.

A brace from Sergio Kun Aguero added to strikes from Yaya Toure and Raheem Sterling as Remi Garde’s stay eight points away from safety.

Jordan Ayew lasted 80 minutes at the Ettihaad but could not prevent the blue half of Manchester from spanking his side by 4-0.

The Ghanaian joined from French Ligue one side Lorient and has since pocketed 5 goals on his debut season in English football.
