Accra Hearts of Oak continued their fine start to the 2015/16 Ghana premier league season with an impressive second half display.
The 20-times Ghana premier league champions started the game as favourites but were dominated from the blast of referee Daniel Laryea’s whistle by an Evans Mensah led Allies team that created all the clear cut chances but failed to find the finishing touch to get the needed goals.
The ‘eleven to one’ boys started the second half as the first with Man-of-the-match, Mensah easily dribbling pass his markers and his cross rightly found Frederick Boateng inside the box to head powerfully past the hapless, Soulama Abdulai.
Allies looked hungrier and more determined of the two sides as they continued their fine start and found the second from midfielder, Ahortor. With the performance and a two goal lead by the phobians, Hearts first defeat of the season was in the offing, but the Phobians season defied the odds and started to finally get into the game.
Hearts pulled a goal back in the 73rd minute from a half volley by Isaac ‘Messi’ Mensah after a cross was deflected to him.
The Hearts fans present at the Tema Astro turf stadium believed and cheered their team on and were rewarded in the 83rd minute with an equaliser by striker, Ibrahim Musa who guarded the ball pass goal keeper, Kwame Baah at his near post.
Kenichi Yatshusashi’s team did not look a side after the first to goals to be contend with an away point and pushed until the final hour where a moment of brilliance from Musa saw him easily beat Allies right back and captain, Simon and cleverly slotted home with the outside of his right foot to give Hearts all the three points and maintain their unbeaten record this season.
