The Official Bank of the Black Stars, uniBank, has urged the Stars to go all out to defeat the Mozambican national team on Thursday and in the return match to ensure a smooth qualification to the AFCON 2017 Tournament to be held in Gabon.
The Bank said this when a delegation led by Mr. Owusu Ansah-Awere, Executive Director, visited the Team during their training session held on Tuesday, March 22, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Executive Director, recounted the partnership entered into by the two corporate entities in a 3 year Sponsorship Contract worth USD1.2 million and disclosed that the partnered has been very fruitful and beneficiary for both parties.
“Since the partnership, we have always been with you at your training sessions and tournaments here and abroad. We were with you in Brazil 2014 World Cup as well as the AFCON held at the Equatorial Guinea last year. Hence our visit to you today to inform you that you must win to make the bank and mother Ghana proud on Thursday; we are solidly behind you” he told the excited players, technical team and other management committee members present.
He promised the bank’s massive support to the team on Thursday. On behalf of the players, Agyeman Badu, Deputy Captain, assured the bank’s delegation that they will win and qualify for AFCON 2017.
He thanked the bank for the excellent banking and financial support it has rendered to the team since 2013.
