Asamoah Gyan Injured In Shanghai SIPG Defeat

The Captain of the Black Star Asamoah Gyan got himself injured in their AFC champions league first round match against Melbourne Victory where they eventually lost 2-1 in Melbourne.


 


Gyan was stretched off the pitch after picking up a thigh injury was replaced by Lu Wen Jun on 63 minute of the game. The Captain of the Black stars  was very influential after helping his team  qualify to the group Stage after beating Muang thong United 3-0 in the playoffs, but couldn’t replicate his scoring form in the first round match of the AFC champions league.







 


The other group game ended in a goalless draw between Gamba Osaka and Suwon Blessings. Shanghai SIPG are in group G together with Gamba Osaka(Japan), Suwon Blessings (South Korea), Melbourne Victory (Australia).


 


Shangai SIPG will play their next game at home against Suwon Blessings and Gyan will be looking forward to bounce back as quickly as possible to help his team to victory
