Ghana To Participate In The Tennis Junior African Championship




The General secretary of Ghana Tennis Federation (GTF) Madam Philipa Frimpong has told sportscrusader.com about the participation of Ghana in the upcoming African youth championship (closed under 18) in Tunisia which kicks starts from the Sunday 7th February 2016 to Saturday 13th February 2016.

Marcel Agbegne who is the sole representative of Ghana at the event will be accompanied by his Coach Mr. Bargebas Noah to the championship in Tunisia, the duo are expected to leave the shores of Ghana on Saturday, 6 February 2016.


According to the General Secretary, Marcel made it to the tournament through the wild card because he didn’t have enough Junior Ranking point in order to secure legitimate qualification.


She added Ghana initially pleaded for four spot at the championship but the Confederation Of African Tennis only granted only one spot which subsequently went to Marcel Agbegne.
