Hearts of Oak goalkeeper, Soulaman Abdulai insist the team has improved tremendously under the tutelage of head coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi.
Kenichi Yatsuhashi was appointed last year to replace Herbert Addo as the substantive coach after parting company with the Inter Allies boss due to poor performance.
The Japanese-American trainer since his appointment has brought more questions than answers and the seem divided because of him.
Board member Nyaho Tamakloe has called for his sacking because he believes he is not the right material for the forner premier league champions after recording poor results in preseason.
Other members of the board insist he has their backing to lead the club.
Soulaman Abdulai admits the results have not gone as expected by fans, board and players of the club, but insist the team has progressed since he took charge on October last year.
“People have said so many things since the coach took charge but even though results in the friendly matches have not been the best we the players know the improvements that have been made,” the former Kumasi Asante Kotoko goalkeeper told Citi FM.
“Effort in training has improved and the coach is working very well.
“We look better in a number of departments already and we hope that it continues that way,” he said.
Accra Hearts of Oak will welcome New Edubiase United on Match Week One of the new Ghana Premier league season on February 21 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
