I Didn"t Spend Much In GHALCA Elections

Former Chief Executive officer of Berekum Chelsea, Nana Oduro Sarfo has revealed that he spent less on delegates prior Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), elections.

Nana Oduro Sarfo contested for the chairmanship post at GHALCA alongside Isaac Wilberforce Koomson, Kudjoe Fianoo and Kofi Poku.

Unfortunately, delegates chose Kudjoe Fianoo ahead of him despite despite paying their transport from their locations.

He also fed them, but only 13 voted for him.

“The delegates have spoken. We all had our messages and our vision for GHALCA but delegates bought into his ideas,” Mr. Sarfo told Sportscrusader.com

“I am happy I didn’t spend much on the delegates. I gave some of them transport fare and bought food for about 40, of them at the restaurant.” He added.

Mr. Sarfo also praised delegates for not selling their conscience.

“I think they want they want the best for GHALCA and I am for that. They showed that their conscience cannot be bought and that is good for the association.”

Koomson Congratulates Kudjoe Fianoo

Outgoing Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), vice chairman, Isaac Wilberforce Koomson has congratulated Kudjoe Fianoo on winning the chairmanship post.

Isaac Koomson contested for the chairmanship post, but lost to Kudjoe Fianoo who amassed 63 out of the 102 valid votes cast.

Mr. Koomson is disappointed he could not succeed his boss, Alhaji Raji, but believes Mr. Fianoo has the ability to lead the association to greater.

“It is an elections and you must be ready for any result, delegates have the power to decide who lead the association and they chose Kudjoe, congratulations to him,” the Accra representative of Aduana Stars told Sportscrusader.com.

Isaac Koomson also thanked all delegates who vested their confidence on him

“Many delegates showed confidence but unfortunately, it wasn’t to be. I wan to take this opportunity to thank all my well wishers and those who believed in me.” Je said.

Isaac Koomson hinted he will take a shot break and return stronger.

Why Kudjoe Fianoo Won GHALCA Elections

The race began in February this year and on the 21 April, the grace fell on Kudjoe Fianoo to succeed Alhaji Braimah Raji as chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA).

The race was as thicker as a concrete, and  barely did football connoisseurs, believed that Kudjoe Fianoo will whitewash Isaac Koomson, Kofi Poku and Nana Oduro Sarfo in the race for the seat.

Isaac Koomson was rated highly among members of the Association and delegates, but he pulled a total 13 votes from the 102 votes cast.

I must admit I was completely taken aback by the decision of the delegates considering the conversation I had with a  chunk of them to the elections.

Most of them bought into the idea of Isaac Koomson and Kofi Poku, and the race was destined to he closely contested by the duo. However, Kudjoe Fianoo spring up and won the race.

Speaking to delegates who vested their power in the AshantiGold Chief Executive Officer, Sportscrusader.com observed that Kudjoe Fianoo won the race with his image.

The former Ghana Football Association (GFA), Executive Committee member’s presence epitomized his chances. Delegates are convinced that the success GHALCA chalked when he was part of the Association will be revived should he lead the dream of the club.

It is believed that he will champion their call for clubs to have a say when decisions about Ghana football is made at the highest level.
