Chelsea Ready To Sell Black Stars Player

English Premier League (EPL) dethroned champions, Chelsea has informed Spanish side Malaga to pay up £7m to secure the permanent transfer of Ghana Black STars winger, Christian Atsu.


Atsu who joined the London club from Portuguese side, FC Porto in 2013 has been sent out on loan to four different clubs – Dutch side, Vitesse Arnheim, EPL sides, Everton, AFC Bournemouth and recently Malaga.


The Ghana international had a mixed six-month loan spell at La Rosaleda Stadium as he battled both injury and fitness due to lack of playing time with Bournemouth before his La Liga move.


The 24-year-old made 12 appearances and scored two goals with the second coming in the 4-1 drubbing of Las Palmas.


Atsu has since returned to Stamford Bridge where his future has all but ended as incoming manager, Antonio Conte has deemed him surplus to requirement for the upcoming season.

Christian Atsu Scores In Malaga Win

Black Stars winger came off the bench to register his strike of the season in Malaga ‘s heavy win over las Palmas.


The on loan Chelsea midfielder came on as a replacement for Juanpi on the hour mark for only his 12th appearance of the campaign.


Atsu joined the La Rosaleda’s outfit in the winter transfer window after a turbulent time with premier league side AFC Bournemouth.


The 24 year old wing wizard marked his liga debut with an opening goal for his side but has since been relegated to a bench warmer for the mid table side.


Atsu, who made his name whiles with FC Porto ,has since been turned into a nomadic player since trading the Dragao for the deafening Stanford Bridge in the summer of 2012.


The Ghanaian openly admitted falling in love with the atmosphere in the Rosaleda despite playing in only 12 league fixtures.


Compatriot Mubarak Wakasu came off the bench for Las Palmas as they slumped to a 4-1 defeat in the final match day of the season in Spanish football.

I Am Happy At Malaga - Atsu

Ghana and Chelsea midfielder Christian Atsu says he is enjoying life in La Liga after joining Malaga on loan last January.


The 24-year-old failed to make a Premier League appearance at Bournemouth during the first part of the season due to injuries.


However, he has played eight Liga games since his arrival in Spain but remains unsure whether his current deal would be made permanent by Chelsea and Malaga.


“I am very happy in Malaga,” Atsu told Spanish newspaper Marca. “What I wanted was a chance to play and now I have that option.


“But to stay here depends on Chelsea.”


Atsu joined Chelsea in a £2.3million deal from Porto in 2013 but is yet to represent the Blues at senior level.

Christian Atsu Returns To Full Training With Malaga

Ghana midfielder Christian Atsu has returned to full scale training with his side Malaga, after missing the Black Stars second leg qualifiers with Mozambique, last week.


The injury prone wing wizard returned to his La Rosaleda based club, after complaining of discomfort on his thigh, but has since started full scale training with his club team mates.


The 24 year old on loan to Chelsea has enjoyed mixed fortunes since his arrival in Spain during the winter break but a return to fitness will boost his chances of pocketing some precious playing time when the international break ends.


The talented forward was spotted happily undertaking routine shake up with Javi Gracia’s men at the La Rosaleda training annex after his return from the Black Stars camp.


The 2015 AFCON Most Valuable Player has seen his promising career take a nosedive since trading the Estadio Dragao in Portugal for the deafening Stand Ford Bridge in England.


The one time FC Porto fan’s favourite has since been shipped out on loan to Vittese Arnheim, Everton, AFC Bournemouth and Malaga since arriving in London in the summer of 2013.

Atsu Earns Malaga A Point In A Six Goal Thriller

Spain based Ghanaian attacker Christian Atsu played a crucial role for his club side Malaga as they snatched a late point at the Riazor on Saturday night.


The on loan Chelsea winger urged his name into the heart of the Rosaleda outfit fans in the six goal thriller with commanding performance for Javi Gracia’s men.


The 24 year old much travelled Ghanaian failed to add to his debut strike for Malaga but proved pivotal across in the 90 minutes at the Riazor against the rejuvenated Deportivo La Coruna.


The former FC Porto wing wizard introduced himself to Spanish football fans with impressive performances that could entice their head coach to make his loan spell permanent at the end of the season.


Atsu came within inches of pocketing his second strike for Malaga but was denied on two occasions, first from the goal line clearance and a wicked goal keeping from German Lux in post for Deportivo La Coruna.


Goals from Celca Borges, Fede and Lucas look to have won the three points for Depor but Malaga snatched a last minute point thanks to an own goal from Alejandro Aribas, and further strikes from Ignacio Camacho and the prolific Charles.


Atsu joined Malaga from Chelsea in the winter transfer window and has since managed one goal in his opening three matches for the La Rosaleda outfit in Spanish top flight football.

Nasiru Mohammed commends Atsu on his Malaga switch

Ghana youth international Nasiru Mohamed has commended Christian Atsu after the latter’s switch to Malaga.


The BK Hacken attacking midfielder tipped Atsu to blossom at the Rosaleda after his turbulent time in English football.

Atsu joined Malaga on a six month loan spell from Chelsea as he continues to search for playing time.


Mohammed, 22, dubbed Atsu’s switch to Liga outfit as the best move for his career development as a footballer.


The BK Hacken utility man highlighted the importance of Atsu to the national team and the need to enjoy regular playing time after a torrid time with Chelsea.


Nasiru Mohammed told sports crusader, “Atsu’s move to Spain is a very good move for him as it will help bring him back his best form. He has very good qualities and the right mind set for the game of football.


He will help promote the name of Ghana and create chances for upcoming players too as well. I personally wish him the best of luck and hopes he shines very well in Spain”.

Official: Christian Atsu Signs For Malaga On Loan




Chelsea FC winger Christian Atsu has completed a season long loan move to Spanish side Malaga CF.


Christian Atsu who was believed to heading Levante, a deal he confirmed has rather joined Malaga until the of the season.


The Ghanaian international was linked with several from clubs including Hamburg, Werder Bremen, Rayo Vallecano, PSV and Levante.


The 2015 AFCON player of the tournamemt seemed to have a sealed a deal with Levante but Malaga pulled the trigger to sweep the Ghanaian away at the death.


Atsu revealed he chose Levante because he’s certain of enough playing time, but it seems Malaga has offered the youngster more first-team football.


Christian Atsu was signed from FC Porto in the summer of 2013, and he enjoyed a successful loan spell at Vitesse Arheim in the Eredivice.


A successive loan spells at Everton and Bournemouth were disastrous as he failed to make an impact in the both clubs.


The move to Malaga makes it fourth in a row since joining London club.
