English Premier League (EPL) dethroned champions, Chelsea has informed Spanish side Malaga to pay up £7m to secure the permanent transfer of Ghana Black STars winger, Christian Atsu.
Atsu who joined the London club from Portuguese side, FC Porto in 2013 has been sent out on loan to four different clubs – Dutch side, Vitesse Arnheim, EPL sides, Everton, AFC Bournemouth and recently Malaga.
The Ghana international had a mixed six-month loan spell at La Rosaleda Stadium as he battled both injury and fitness due to lack of playing time with Bournemouth before his La Liga move.
The 24-year-old made 12 appearances and scored two goals with the second coming in the 4-1 drubbing of Las Palmas.
Atsu has since returned to Stamford Bridge where his future has all but ended as incoming manager, Antonio Conte has deemed him surplus to requirement for the upcoming season.
