Chairman for the Black Satellites management committee Alhaji Sadugu Yahaya has lauded the exploits of the quality of players in the local league as a blessing for the junior national teams.
The veteran football administrator envisages a keenly contested 2016 topflight league but remains confident it will benefit the Satellites.
The Upper West regional FA boss tipped the current campaign to end in a photo finish but has called on handlers of the national teams to extend their scouting lenses into the local league.
Alhaji Yayaha dubbed the home based players as gold bars that only needs to be refined so as to attain the needed attention.
The satellites management committee chairman rued the missed opportunities at previous national teams both on the continent and at the global stage as a testament of the quality of players in the country.
“The current crop of players in the country are good enough to help return the Satellites and the Starlets team back to winning ways.
The competition faced by the traditional big clubs is a true demonstration of what awaits us in the season.
When quality players ply their trade in the country, selection to the national team is usually made simple and transparent. Ghanaians can judge the players by their weekly performance.
I see a photo finish at the end of the season and that will help produce more talent for the national team as well”, the RFA Boss told sportscrusader.
The 2016 top flight promises to be one of the keenly contested league in recent memories after just two rounds of matches in the season
