Newly promoted Ghana premier league side, Dreams FC has revealed to sportscrusader.com the reason behind the acquisition of the premier league experienced forward, Eric Gawu to their top flight journey.
Dreams FC qualified to the premier league for the first time since the club was established in 2009 and looks to have immediately established itself in the league with two consecutive wins in the opening two matches.
Former Accra Hearts of Oak and King Faisal striker, Gawu joined Dreams FC while in the division one and helped the side gain promotion to the top flight and many have questioned of what value is a spent force to an ambitious club as Dreams football club.
But head coach, C.K. Akunnor disagrees as he admitted in an interview with sportscrusader.com, the age is not a matter as what Gawu brings on board outweighs the number (age).
He said, “Gawu is a well experienced player and has had stints with top teams in the Ghana premier league sometime ago and his addition to our attack is to our advantage.”
“He is using his experience to guide the young players, Johnson and the others so his addition is very important to us,” he added.
