GFA Confirm Ordering Avram Grant To Return

Communication Director of the Ghana Football Association, Ibrahim Saani Daara has confirmed that the football governing body has asked Avram Grant to return to the country.


Avram Grant has been out of Ghana for about three months,  with only that Christmas period and one after new year been the official days the FA allocated to him to spend time outside the West African country.


But the Israeli has spent additional two months in Europe, and his employees has written to him to return home and monitor the national league which began two weeks ago.







“Let me state as a matter of fact that the Ghana FA has asked him to come down because the league is underway,” Ghana FA Communications head Ibrahim Sannie Daara told Joy FM.


“We are also getting close to our match against Mozambique and therefore we need him here and in due course he will be here.” he said.


Media reports claim the FA do not have the balls to approach the former Chelsea manager when go contrary to the agreement signed with the Association, but Saani Daara insist they control what ever he does.


“We are very much in touch with him, we control what he does and we would want to state that if he does anything that is untoward we will call him to book.” he said.
