Hearts Midfielder Set For Surgery

Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder Richard Yamoah is to undergo treatment on the knee injury he sustained in last Sunday’s victory over Medeama SC at Tarkwa.

Yamoah suffered the injury when he clashed with Medeama goalkeeper Muntari Tagoe in a mid-air tussle for the ball and, landed awkwardly twisting the knee badly.

The player could not walk after the 2-0 victory over the Yellow and Mauves and had to be carried into the team’s bus back to Accra.

Hearts’ medical team had to apply ice cubs on the injured knee to help calm the situation for the player who is now being prepared for medical treatment to ascertain the amount of time he will be out of action.

Until his injury, Yamoah was instrumental in the middle of the park and held sway the battle in his sides favour away from the threat posed by the Medeama SC midfielders.
