No Show For Ghana In Handball At The Rio Olympics

Ghana will not be represented at the Rio Olympics in handball as the national team is struggling to move from zone C to Zone A.

With barely few months to the start of the olympics, Ghana failed to make it to African Men and Women Handball championship in Egypt last January, which automatically kept them out of the Olympic qualifier

In an interview with the General Secretary of the Ghana handball association,Mr. Charles Amofa  told sportscrusader.com that “we are a long way from an Olympic dream as we are still languishing in Zone 3,which automatically makes it difficult for us to even qualifier for the African and world championship”.

He added that the reason for this shortfall is the player exodus in the sport ,as many of Ghanaian players are seeking for greener pastures.
