The steady growth of handball in Ghana has led to quite a sizable number of Ghanaian players seeking for greener pastures in top African and European handball leagues.

Player exodus in handball has impacted the quality of the national handball league with some Ghanaians leaving mainly for professional handball play in the German handball  bundesliga in Germany and the Egyptian handball league.

Investigations by sportscrusader.com has revealed that more than 80 players have left the shores of Ghana in the past four years because of the lack of attention they get and the low motivational aspect of playing handball in the Ghana.

As Ghana is still languishing in Zone 3 in the African Chart Rankings, the phenomenon of player exodus will become a huge detriment to the progress f the sport in the country and to even qualify for the world championship and olympics in the near future.
