GPL Will Be Competitive - Saani Daara

Considering the acquisition of players by premier league clubs for the upcoming Ghana Premier league, communication director of the FA is optimistic the league will be very competitive.

Last season, Ashantigold marched elegantly to dethroned Kumasi Asante Kotoko for the league crown despite some poor performance at a certain point in the season.

Asante Kotoko has bolstered their squad with quality signings, Hearts of Oak, Medeama SC and many others have stepped up their preparations to wrestle the title.

And the former Choice FM, now Kasapa FM journalist believes the work done by clubs in the off season is a testimony that clubs are ready to fight for the league and that will make it competitive.

“All the clubs are preparing for the season. You could clearly see that the clubs have done well this pre-season with respect to player signings,” Saani Daara told Boss FM.

“It was unfortunate that Kotoko’s Dauda Mohammed got injured in their friendly against Bechem United, but In Accra, Hearts new signing Samudeen did well in their international friendly.

“Ashgold have also bolstered their team. Aduana is the most surprised team to me because they purchased players you would thought they may be signed by either Kotoko or Hearts (of Oak).

“The competition will be very exciting in this year’s league. Medeama, Dwarfs and all the other teams have augmented their teams. So I expect a very competitive season.’’ He noted.
