Accra Hearts of Oak new signing, Samudeen Ibrahim has promised fans of the club his input in the team will raise the club to a different level.
Samudeen Ibrahim was signed on Ghanaian transfer deadline day for reported fee of GHS 60,000.00 from King Solomon FC after a sterling performance in the GN Bank Division One League.
He scored four goals and made eight assists in 38 matches and was voted the Most Valuable Player in the Division One League last season.
Since his move to the Rainbow club, Samudeen has not lost the opportunity to assure the Phobian fraternity that he has the quality to make a huge impact in the league.
He showed glimpses of what he can offer with great individual and team performance, coupled with a goal against Ifeanyi Ubah in his debut for the 2008/2009 premier league champions, and he has reassured Hearts of Oak fans that the team is ready to return the club to its yesteryear.
“I feel very much excited after playing my first game in the colours of Accra Hearts of Oak,” the former King Solomon FC midfielder told Joy FM.
He added: “I did everything I could and I scored my first a goal on my debut.”
The 19-year old also said he has settled well into the playing body.
“The atmosphere in the training ground is fantastic and it has helped me a lot to settle in the team,” he noted, adding that: “Like i have always said, I don’t often give myself targets but I can say as a team, we are doing our best to take the team from the level it is now to a different level.”
Hearts of Oak will open their premier league campaign against New Edubiase on February 21.
