Jackson"s injury is horrible - Eric Donkor

Kumasi Asante Kotoko left full back Eric Donkor has described Jakson Owusu’s career threatening injury as horrible and sad for the entire playing staff.


The 23 year old versatile full back lamented the absence of Owusu both on and off the pitch less than one weeek to the season openers.

Jackson Owusu broke his leg in a friendly shake up on Sunday and has been ruled out of the 2016 football season after a confirmation from an X-Ray.


Donkor highlighted the importance of his injury ravaged colleague to their team work both on the pitch and outside the football field as well.


The utility full back, who reveals his disappointment on hearing the news. “It is a horrible and a sad news for the entire team.


“We will miss his presence not just on the pitch but outside the field as well.


“We are wishing him the best of luck and speedy recovery so that he can come and join us during the course of the season.” Donkor told sports crusader.


The flying full back has been with Kumasi Asante Kotoko since 2011 and look poised to enjoy his most prolific season for the reds after a rampant preseason form.


Kotoko will be without the services of the crocked Jackson Owusu whose unfortunate broken leg will need at least eight months on the treatment table. The Reds opens their 2016 season with a juicy clash with WAFA SC.
