League Start Date Won’t Change
Head of Communication at the Ghana Football Association, Saani Darra has assured all stakeholders of the game the Ghana premier league that has been dormant for five months will go on as planned.
The Ghana premier league is yet to commence and even the announcement of the start date by the Ghana Football Association hasn’t been enough reasons to keep skeptics and critics quite.
Techiman city and Berekum Arsenal head of legal issues, Obiri Yeboah has threatened the league with injunction should the GFA fail to publish the findings of the committee that ruled on the case involving his client and Wa African United.
But the former BBC journalist, Saani Darra has assured all football loving fans the league won’t be delayed any further.
In an interview with Kumasi based radio station, Boss fm, Saani said, “the league will start as planned and we’re ahead of schedule hopefully no unforseen circumstances to delay the league.”
“The clubs are done with their signings and everything looks set for the teams. The full league fixtures will soon be out and then the games will begin,” he added.
The GFA announced February 20 as the start date to the 2015/16 league season.
