Asante Kotoko midfielder Theophilus Nyame has praised management of the club for putting measures in place to ensure the win the premier league title this season.
Theophilus is one of the twelve new signings Kotoko added to their squad during the transfer window to augment the squad that lost the league crown to Ashanti Gold last season.
He has been very instrumental in the Porcupine Warriors success in the off-season.
He says that a team of Kotoko’s calibre is always expected to win and management has put measures In place to ensure the club achieve that.
“We all know that Kotoko is a team that sets its sights on winning the league trophy every season,” Nyame told Accra based Citi FM.
“Since I came in I have noticed that measures are being put in place to ensure that we have a better season than the one we had in the last campaign.” He added.
Theophilus also called on his colleagues not to let the pre-season exhilarating performance outweigh their focus on the league.
“We have played lots of matches and the results have been positive now we need to carry that same energy and positive attitude into the league.” He said.
Kotoko will travel to Sogakope to play West Africa Football Academy on Match Week One of the new premier league season on February 21.
