Retired FIFA Referee, Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo has reiterated that she is not in a rush for a national team coaching role despite her participation in an Ongoing coaching training to upgrade her coaching badges.
The former Black Queens Player who is in Kumasi at present, undergoing the GFA/CAF License A course-the highest coaching badge in Africa, is part of the coaching staff of GN Bank Division One side Amidaus Professionals.
Mercy Tagoe also owns a ladies team that has qualified to play in the National Women’s League.
Speaking in an interview, the former FIFA Referee was coy on reports linking her with a potential National team job in future.
“Nothing good comes easy but no matter the difficulties, one has to continue because we are going to use the knowledge we acquire here [in Kumasi] to do our work” Mercy Tagoe said.
“My future doesn’t lie in my own hands and I don’t know what the future holds for me. But I have a women’s team that has qualified to play in the National Women’s league.
‘’I work for Amidaus and My team Halifas Ladies so I am learning here in order to help the two teams. Whether National team comes calling or not is a matter of time.
“I am not rushing into anything” she added.
Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo has been in football as a player, a referee and currently a coach.
