Saddick Adams Cools Down Kofi Owusu"s Absence Ahead Of The Season

Berekum Chelsea attacker Saddick Adams has cooled down talks of filling in for Kofi Owusu in the upcoming season.

The Ghana Youth international joined the Blues in the off season but has ruled out filling for the Club’s top scorer who has since left for Egypt.

Adams, revealed that Berekum Chelsea planned for life without Owusu and that his absence in the team did not come to them as a surprise.

The former U-17 sensational attacker said his return to the domestic season was not to fill in for any star player but to enjoy his football once again.

The former Ashgold teen sensation is relishing the prospect of competing once again in the Ghanaian topflight when they take on Techiman City in the opening fixture of the 2016 domestic football calendar.

“I am not in Chesea to fill in for anyone let alone his absence in the team. Owusu’s style of play is different from mine and he was not even part of our preparation for the coming season.” Adams told sports crusader exclusively.

“Kofi Owusu was not in the camp of Chelsea during our preparations for the upcoming season. Those players who have left Berekum Chelsea are gone and gone forever until they decide to come back to the club.

We are seriously looking forward to our first match of the season against Techiman City FC”, the attacker concluded.

Kofi Owusu registered 19 goals for Solomon Odwo’s men to land the 2014/15 FCPPL Golden Boot and a ticket on the exodus bus to Egypt.
