There has been noticeable improvements in the game of Rugby in the country, this has prompted various stakeholder in the Rugby association to focus and invest in youth development.
The President of the Ghana Rugby Football Union , Mr Herbert Mensah has told sportscrusader.com “that development of women’s and young children rugby is very essential for the current administration and i am sure by the way we leave office there would be massive development in the sport”.
He also emphasize they need for Regional Associations to take total charge, including the funding, of the 2016/17 Ghana Rugby Club Championship so that he and his administration can focus on issues of national interest such as youth development under the World Rugby.
Mr.Mensah assured all rugby fans in Ghana that their women will start to play international tournament in this year and also emphasized about the various training programs aimed at strengthening of technical capabilities of the developmental coaches.
