GN Bank DOL: King Solomon Midfielder Confident of Survival

King Solomon FC Midfielder, Christian Doe Zinald is opstimystic his side can beat the drop despite their current position in the ongoing GN Bank Division One League.

Despite having a game in hand on the other clubs in Zone Three, the Kwahu Praso based club have struggled to lift themselves from the relegation zone from the start of the campaign.

King Solomon has only managed 15 points in 19 matches and just 11 games to go, many have tipped them to be relegated to Ghana’s third tier by the close of the 2015/2016 season.

But in his quest to encourage his colleagues to fight for survival, midfielder, Christian Doe Zinald says King Solomon are good enough a team to stay in the Division One League.

Speaking in an interview, the 22-year-old, who joined King Solomon at the start of the season from division two side, Kade United minced no words in what his side must do to lift themselves up the table.

“King Solomon is a good side,  but we are lacking certain things and we are working on it”, For Zinald told TalksenseSports.

“We hope that everything will work out better for us. Our scoring abilities we will work on it more. Right now, where we are, it’s not good but we’ll come out of that zone. I believe things will work out.” he added

King Solomon were scheduled to travels to face town rivals Okwawu United on Wednesday July 20 for match day 21 but the midweek games in Zone Three were suspended by the Division One League Board due the accident suffered by Heart of Lions encounter to honour their Week 20 game with King Solomon last weekend .

Meanwhile the board will meet later on Thursday to decide on whether or not the Week 21 Fixtures should go on as Lions players continue to recieve treatment at the hospital.

GN Bank DOL: Vision FC Striker Won"t Celebrate Goal Against Roberto

In-Form Vision FC Striker, Nicholas Amekpewu has revealed that he will not celebrate, should he score against his former side Roberto FC.

Vision will play host to Roberto at the Kweiman Park on match day 19 of the GN Bank Division One League this Saturday- a fixture that will reunite the front man with his former employers.

And speaking in an interview in the build up to the encounter, Amekpewu who joined Vision at the end of the first round said his aims to get a goal for his side.

“I will be playing against my former club, former players and former coach. It’s not going to be easy for me but I have to prove to them that I am improving. I will be happy to get a goal or two against them but I won’t celebrate if I score. I wish us all good luck in the game.” He said.

Amekpewu scored his first goal for his new club Vision FC on his debut against Tema Youth- a goal which handed the Division One debutants the 3 maximum points.

Head Coach o King Solomon FC, Benjamin Biden is confident his side  will bounce back strongly with a different style in the second round of the GN Bank Division One League.

The Kwahu Praso based team are currently lying bottom of the zone 3 log with 9 points after winning just 2 of their first 15 games.

However, with 15 more matches left to play, Baiden says they have put things in place for a better second round.

“We have put things in place for the second, and we are going to work very hard”, he said in an interview.

“So that second round we will come in a different style. We are strategising and we will come back stronger and better”,  the King Solomon Trainer added.

King Solomon will start the second round of the campaign with a home fixture against Roberto FC.

But the game will be played away from the Kwahu Praso Park- the venue has been closed down due to crowd troubles.

Dynamic Roberto FC midfield anchorman, Safian Sani has revealed that his dream is to play for Kotoko or Hearts of Oak in future. 

The 17 year old has been instrumental for the Sogakope based side in what is only their debut season in Ghana’s second tier league.

His impact and contribution to the team has been remarkable which has seen him earn a starting place  in recent times.

Sani scored his first goal of the campaign during Roberto’  3-2 win over King Solomon on the final day of the first round with a 20-yards shot.

And speaking to the media after the game, Sani attributed his recent run of good form to hard work.

“My training make me to play like that”, he said,  adding that “I wish to move away from Roberto and My dream is to play football at the highest level. My dream is to play for Kotoko or Hearts”.

Sani joined Roberto FC at the beginning of the 2015/2016 GN Bank Division One League season from the Volta Regional amature leagues.

Elmina Shark’s centre forward Tweneboah Benjamin is confident his side can secure top flight football for next season after a great start to the season in the GN Bank Division One League.

 

The Cape Coast based side jointly sits atop of zone II and their in-form striker has rallied his team mates to build on the good start and pick the sole ticket in the zone.

The 20 year old striker tipped his side to storm the division after an impressive transfer business and a new lease of life around the playing staff.

Benjamin, who has already his season’s account after just two games into the season admitted to the difficulties and challenges in the second tier league but remained confident his side will sail through at the end of the season.

“This is our year and nobody’s in the zone.

We have made a great start to the season and hopefully we keep the momentum going forward as a unit.

“I believe that I will be our guiding factor as we seek to seal premier league football at the end of the season.

“Hopefully I want to play a crucial role for Elmina Sharks in our qualification process”, Tweneboah Benjamin told sports crusader.

The Cape Coast side missed out of Premiership football last season due to a late collapse but have so far won two of its opening matches in the 2016 edition of the second tier league.

Bankroller of the side and Presidential aspirant, Papa Kwesi Ndoum, dashed the club’s head with a car early last week to facilitate his movement.

Dr. Nduom Surprises Elmina Sharks Coach With A brand New Car

President of Ambitious Division One League side Emina Sharks Football Club, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has presented a brand new GMC Terrain 4-Wheel Drive to the coach of the club, Kwabena Amissah.

The new car will serve as a huge motivation for the coach in his quest to qualify the Elmina based club to the Ghana Premier League.

Speaking to SportsCrusader.com after receiving the car in Accra, Coach Kwabena Amissah expressed delight at the gesture and promised to give his best to ensure that Sharks realize their ultimate objective of securing qualification in to the Ghanaian top flight.

“I think it [the car] has come at the right time. This also motivates you to work hard. When someone throws a challenge to you, you have to work hard and prove to the person that you deserve what he has given you”, Amissah said.

“I am happy that I have got a car which will make me mobile and try to work hard to achieve success for the employers” he added.

Elmina Sharks have won their first two games of the 2015/2016 GN Bank Division One League and according to the former Berekum Chelsea and Hasaacas coach, his side are workinh hard to achieve their  goal.

“In every organization, you try to progress and then you try hard to go beyond excellence. I think whatever we are putting in place is purposely for the team to make it to the next level of Ghana Football, that’s the Premier League.

“So our objective is to make sure that we train hard, work hard and then move the team to the Premier League” Amissah said.

The Coach further revealed that Dr. Nduom, the President of the club has set a target for the team to finish the first round of the league as league leaders in Zone Two.

Ebusua Dwarfs head coach J.E Sarpong has threatened to quit the club after three matches because he doesn’t entertain mediocrity.

Ebusua Dwarfs lost their second successive premier league match against New Edubiase at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium on Friday, and J.E Sarpong who led the team from Division One to the premiership, believes the output of his team is below standard and he will take a walk.

“This is result is one I don’t accept,” the former Liberty Professionals coach told Super Sport after the game.

“It is very disappointing, very disheartening. We entered the premiership with so much excitement, with the anticipation to stay aloft. But this is football; either there is something wrong somewhere or  the commitment players is not there or they are not ready to work for the team and the coach.

“Because this is a team that qualified with so much hallelujah from Division One. The maximum number of goals that were scored, 30 goals,  70 points including the goal king himself. And to play that badly is unacceptable.

“We played first match and didn’t go as planned, this is a match we could have gotten at least a point before facing Hearts of Oak. I am so much disappointed that I don’t even know what to say.

“To be very frank, I think I have been led down by my team and I will have to advise myself because I can’t, I don’t and I won’t supervise nonsense.

“I will have to think deep because we lost our first match at home and lost second game. Can the coach stay on for the third match?

“I can’t stay on to supervise loses and I will advise myself.” he stated.

The disappointed trainer highlighted the inconspicuous nature of Bright Lukeman, golden boot winner of the Division One League as one several hints to suggest there’s lack of commitment.

“You saw his performance in the game. I hope to stay on for the third match because I can’t supervise these types of games. I don’t supervise nonsense.”

Division One League Fixtures To Be Released Tomorrow - Saani Daara

Communication Director of the Ghana Football Association, Ibrahim Saani Daara has said that the Division One League Board will release fixtures for the season tomorrow (Thursday).

A date for the commencement of the league is scheduled for February 20, but the DOL Board has not released the fixtures for the season.

Clubs are getting frustrated for continued delay of the release of fixtures because it is affecting their preparations for the upcoming season.

But Saani Daara has assured the clubs that the fixtures will be made available tomorrow.

“The Division One League fixtures will be released tomorrow (Thursday),” the  former Choice FM journalist told Accra-based radio station, Happy FM.

“We understand their frustrations but I can assure them that the fixtures will be made available to them tomorrow.” He added.

The Ethics Committee Evidence For Demoting Techiman City & Wa Africa Utd

The GFA Ethics Committee has found Techiman City FC and Wa African United guilty of bribery and match fixing after investigations into their Match day 22 game played at the Damongo Park.

 

 

ANALYSIS AND EVALUATION OF EVIDENCE

1. The viva voca evidence obtained from both the Team Manager and the Coach of WA Africa United FC suggest a couple of telephone communication between Nana Kwabena Gyamerah Yiakwan ll, CEO of WA Africa United FC and Charles Kwadwo Ntim, President of Techiman City FC prior to the match that was allegedly agreed to be fixed.

 

2. It was confirmed by the Team Manager and the Coach of WA Africa united FC that there was exchange of money between the agent of Techiman City FC, Yaw Adamu Acheampong and themselves. The money was intended to influence the match in favour of Techiman City FC.

 

3. Contrary to earlier views held that the agent of Techiman City FC was the Team Manager, documents available revealed that the said agent, Yaw Adamu Acheampong was actually an official of the Club but not in the capacity as the Team Manager. This is evidenced by his name appearing on Referees Official list that was electronically generated and the Team Sheet presented and signed by the Team Manager and Captain of Techiman City FC itself.

 

4. The statement by the complainants vis-à-vis the posture of the Respondent at all material times during the sittings, leaves the committee in no doubt that this was a match of convenience agreed on by the two parties.

 

5. That instead of giving evidence to defend itself and debunk the allegations of bribery and match fixing made by WA Africa United FC, Techiman City FC has since the commencement of the hearing de novo resorted to technicalities/legalities to derail the course of collecting evidence from them.

 

6. The Committee observed and came to the conclusion that the conduct of both the Spokesperson/Advisor to Techiman City FC and its President was not acceptable as they disrupted the hearing on a number of occasions yelling at the slightest opportunity at the complainants.

 

7. The Committee also considered the documents used by the Disciplinary Committee in its ruling in Techiman City’s protest after the said match. This included an electronically generated Referee’s report which had Yaw Adamu Acheampong included as an official of Techiman City FC. The Committee took notice of the fact that at the time the Disciplinary Committee used the referee’s report in its ruling, the Ethics Committee process had not begun and actually Wa African United had not presented its complaints at that time. A referee’s Match Report is supposed to reach the GFA within 48 hours after a match. It is an official document, hence the Ethics Committee relied on it in its findings.

 

Techiman City have refused to accept the Felix Anyinsan committee’s ruling contradicting Wa Africa United who have accepted their fate.
