Wa All Stars shot stopper Richard Ofori is targeting his third straight win in the Ghana Premier League (GPL), when Liberty Professionals visit the Wa Park on Sunday.
The lanky custodian has already pocketed two victories in the opening two matches of the season and has set his sight firmly on making it a hat-trick with another clean sheet at home to the capital based visitors.
Wa All Stars stormed the 2016 Ghana Premier League with two straight wins in the opening two fixtures to remain atop of the log with Ofori playing a key role.
Ofori fired a verbal shot at the attackers of the Dansoman based visitors ahead of their clash on Sunday at the Wa Malik Jabir Park.
The inspirational goalie commended the team efforts from his colleagues and acknowledged the defensive responsibilities shared by the entire team in their dream start to the season.
“We have prepared very well for the visit of Liberty Professionals on Sunday. My clean sheets are not down to my solo efforts but a collective effort from the entire team.
“It is not even the defenders alone who are contributing to our strong start to the season but the entire team has done a very good job so far.
“I am ready for the third clean sheet of the season with the support of my colleagues.” Ofori told sports crusader.
The gargling shot stopper joined Wa All Stars midway through the 2012/13 season and has since blossomed into one of the finest safest pair of hands in the country, the 2014/15 FCPPL best goalie as a testament of his rise in fame.
