Something "Fishy" Brews The GFA & Avram Grant

Ex-Kumasi Asante Kotoko player, Reverend Osei Kofi has labelled the relationship between the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the head of the Ghana Black Stars team, Avram Grant as a ‘fishy’ one.

Earlier this week the GFA has come under immense pressure for not been able to order the ex-Chelsea boss to immediately return to the country after three-months absence since the completion of the AFCON in 2015 when he was given two-months absence from work.

Reverend Osei has been vocal this week after news broke of an ultimatum sent to the former Portsmouth manager to immediately return to duty as Ghana gears up for AFCON qualifiers against Mozambique.

In an interview with Kumasi based Boss fm, Osei Kofi said, “why will a coach who is paid USD50,000 before tax stay away from his responsibilities for months and no one at the FA will question him?”

“There’s something fishy going on between the GFA and the coach. He’s a TV pundit in the UK whilst an apartment has been rented out here for him here to monitor Ghanaian players here in the Ghana premier league,” he added.
