Former Ghana international Augustine Arhinful has heaped praises on Ghana Premier League clubs for effective measures they’ve put in place as part of preparation towards the start of the league.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko has been super in their pre-season friendlies, winning 12 of their games; defending league champions AshGold who will be playing in Africa has beefed up their squad for the CAF Champions League and the league.
Medeama SC and Aduana Stars (GHALCA Six finalist) have been tipped as title contenders, whilst cameos Dreams FC, Ebusua Dwarfs and Techiman City look like teams ready to cause an upset.
Hearts of Oak are beginning to gain the momentum that eluded them in the early stages of their pre-season games. They’ve gone three games unbeaten against Inter Allies, and Ifeanyi Ubah from Nigeria and Hearts of Oak Millennium team.
WAFA traveled to Togo and defeated the home-based national team of the Togolese, and Arhinful says he is impressed with the club’s readiness.
“I think that we have to commend the clubs for the job they have done I think that all of them have done an effective job,” Arhinful told Accra based Citi-fm
“They have shown that even in the midst of difficulty they can keep themselves in shape and that is good.
“The only challenge is that it has been a long preseason and we hope it doesn’t have an effect on the teams.” He said.
Augustine Arhinful Eulogies GPL Clubs.
