We Don"t Have The Ahensan Committe Report - GFA

Communication director for the Ghana football association has rebuffed the stench request from lawyer Obiri Oboahene who heads the legal team for Wa Africa united, Berekum Arsenal and Real Tamale united claiming the Ghana football association publish the report from the Ahensan committee.

The bribery allegation involving Wa Africa united owner and bank-roller, Nana Gyamerah who is record to have given an amount of Ghc2000 to formerly division one side and now Ghana premier league club, Techiman city during the GN Bank DOL 2014/15 season. According the owner of Wa Africa united, Micky Charles, the owner of Techiman city accepted the sum and in so doing agreed to play a fixed match to help save Wa Africa who were involved in a relegation battle.

Solicitor Nana Obiri Boahen in a lengthy but straightforward letter wrote to the Ghana football association to offer advice stating the national league cannot commence without publishing or making known to all the participating clubs in the Division One league the outcome of the reconstituted Ethics Committee chaired by FELIX AHENSAN.

This daring letter seems to have done little to scare the GFA with the spokesperson for the FA, Saani Darra admitting the report is not ready and as a result no one to coerce the association to make the report public.

In an interview with Kumasi based Boss fm, Saani said, “as at now we – the media department of the Ghana football association don’t have the report. If we are submitted with the report why not we will surely publish it.”

“As we speak now we’ve not received it and let me add it is not our responsibility to ask if the committee is done with its work and if the report is ready or when it will be,” he added.

Lawyer Obiri Boahen has threatened the FA with league injunction should it start on February 20 without the publication of the Ahensan committee report.
