Charles Nartey On His Way To The Rio Paralympics

Ghanaian power-lifting  athlete Mr. Charles Nartey has made up the mark for Paralympic qualification in Rio in September after tremendous showing the Faza IPC Power lifting World Cup in Dubai last weekend.


Nartey who arrived yesterday competed  in the world cup for the first time , he performed beyond expectation as he lifted 155kg in the first round of qualification into the second round which saw Nartey lift 161kg which is over the mark  150kg for qualification to the olympics, this automatically gives him an advantage of been picked by the International Paralympic Committee in April.


In an interview with Coach of the Power-lifting athlete, Peter Adjei told sportscrusader.com that “the final slot allocation will be done in April and Charles Nartey is in poll position to be selected for the Paralympic games”.


He also hinted sportscrusader.com about the upcoming championships in Malaysia which Nartey who will be present to represent Ghana at the championship.
